Course description

In this course, students perform installations for various electrical wiring methods and safely perform their tasks according to code rules and standards. Students install raceways and wireways, a variety of cabling methods, service entrance installations, low voltage and extra-low voltage circuits that are common to a residential electrical design.

Prerequisites

Post Secondary level ELEC 1007 Practical Skills - Electrical Minimum Grade of 50
or Post Secondary level ELEC 1013 Electrical Trade Practices Minimum Grade of 50
and Post Secondary level ELEC 1006 Prints and Electrical Code Minimum Grade of 50

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
