Course description

Structured on the Project Management Institute's "A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide)," students are introduced to project management concepts, tools and techniques. Using a systems approach to project delivery, the processes of initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing are explored. The use of web-based communication and collaboration tools for team-based projects further enhance the learning experience. PMBOK is a registered mark of the Project Management Institute, Inc

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
