Georgian Alumni Network and digital alumni card

The Georgian Alumni Network is the online home for Georgian graduates. It’s where you’ll find alumni discounts on products, services and retailers, connect with our global alumni community, find job opportunities, gain access to mentorship opportunities and receive regular updates from the Alumni Association. You can also download your digital alumni card to easily show your alumni status at participating businesses. Register today using a non-Georgian email address for access to this important resource.

The Loop e-newsletter

The Loop is a monthly e-newsletter that keeps Georgian graduates connected to each other and to the college. Each edition features inspiring alumni, college news and updates, upcoming alumni events and more. As a grad, you will automatically receive The Loop to the email address we have on file for you. GeorgianView digital magazine

GeorgianView is the official publication of the Alumni Association, keeping you connected with your alma mater. Returning to campus

Graduation opens the door to new opportunities—and some familiar ones, too. As a Georgian graduate, you still have access to a range of campus resources that support your lifestyle, learning and celebrations. From hitting the gym to hosting a wedding, here are some ways we hope you’ll engage with our campuses.

Stay active with an alumni fitness membership

Alumni receive discounted access to the Georgian College Fitness and Athletics Centres in Barrie and Owen Sound. Memberships include the use of fitness equipment, group classes, gymnasiums, the indoor track and climbing wall at the Barrie Campus. Learn more about alumni fitness memberships.

Browse and borrow from the library

All Georgian alumni can apply for a library account to borrow books and access in-library computer stations. Simply present your alumni card at any campus library. Plan your next event—on campus

From boardroom meetings to weddings and conferences, Georgian’s Barrie Campus offers a wide range of year-round event spaces supported by experienced event professionals. The Conference and Event Services team provides assistance with menu planning, room setup, A/V needs and accommodation to help make your event a success. Explore event bookings at Georgian.

Stop by the Advancement and Alumni Relations office in Barrie Campus room E200 to say hello or learn more about alumni programming, events and engagement opportunities – or to pick up an alumni pin! The team is available Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We hope to see you soon!

Visit to support student success

As a graduate, you understand the importance of experiential learning opportunities for students. Alumni are invited to return to campus to book services and participate in student-run learning opportunities.

The Campus Gallery is a vibrant multi-disciplinary exhibition space where students in Design and Visual Arts programs and established artists showcase their work. The Campus Gallery hosts a variety of exhibitions and artist talks that reflect regional, national and international art, craft and design.

Georgian’s Health and Wellness Clinics offer a range of ways to support student learning while taking care of yourself. Book a massage, haircut or spa service, schedule a hearing test, or visit for an oral assessment and teeth cleaning — all delivered by students under faculty supervision.

The Alumni Engagement team hosts and supports a variety of events designed to bring the alumni community together, build connections and provide meaningful ways to stay connected with Georgian. From networking opportunities and professional development sessions to social gatherings and special campus events, these experiences help alumni engage with each other, reconnect with the college and celebrate the impact of the Georgian community. Class reunions

Staying connected with your classmates doesn’t end at graduation. Hosting a reunion is a great way to bring your class together, celebrate your shared experiences and start a tradition you can continue for years to come. These gatherings help strengthen friendships, build new connections and keep your Georgian community thriving.

If you decide to host a reunion, let us know—we’d love to support you. The Alumni Association can help promote your event, provide welcome packages, arrange campus tours, connect you with faculty and even schedule an appearance by Growler, based on availability. Toolkits and planning resources are also available to make organizing your reunion simple.

Career building and lifelong learning

Graduation doesn’t mean goodbye. As a Georgian alum, you can keep learning, growing and exploring new interests through a wide range of courses, programs and webinars designed to fit your life. Be sure to log into the Georgian Alumni Network to access discounts on continuing education opportunities.

Career building and job-seeking support with GeorgianConnects

New graduates have access to Georgian’s career consultants for up to two years after convocation. They can support you with developing a professional resume, cover letter assistance, interview coaching, job search guidance, career assessments, career planning and creating employment portfolios. Looking for work? Get connected with Career and Employment Community Services today to get started with your work search. Access one-on-one help from staff to develop a job search plan, learn how to access training, apprenticeships, and Better Jobs Ontario funding. Employment services are free. Get started now.

Continuing Education and Part-time Studies

Whether you’re looking to build new skills, explore a completely different interest or take the next step in your career, Georgian offers flexible opportunities to help you grow. Continuing Education provides professional and personal development options that let you enhance your skillset or discover something entirely new, while Part-time Studies allows you to work toward a certificate, diploma or specialization at your own pace. Recognizing alumni achievements

Around the world, Georgian alumni are making a difference, and the Alumni Association is proud to celebrate their contributions to the college, their professions and their communities.

Board of Governors’ Awards of Distinction – Distinguished Alumni Awards

Every year, the Alumni Association celebrates and recognizes the remarkable achievements of graduates through two distinct award categories during the Georgian College Board of Governors’ Awards. These awards celebrate those who have made an outstanding contribution to the college and are considered the college’s highest honour and recognize those who exemplify excellence. Nominations are due each year on the second Friday in February. Learn about the awards and nomination process.

Premier’s Awards

The Premier’s Awards was created by the provincial government and administered by Colleges Ontario to acknowledge the important economic and social contribution that graduates make worldwide. Presented annually, any graduate from a college program can be nominated, with the person having to demonstrate outstanding career success and be contributing to their community or society. Alumni Association Executive Council

The Georgian College Alumni Association Executive Council (AAEC) is a volunteer group of engaged graduates who help guide the Alumni Association’s vision. It’s an opportunity for alumni who are passionate about Georgian to build leadership skills, expand their networks, mentor others and support the growth of the college community. Graduates from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Learn more.

Program advisory and guest speaking

Georgian offers several volunteer opportunities for alumni who want to stay involved and support current students. Program Advisory Committee members help shape curriculum and ensure programs stay relevant to industry needs across our campus communities. Alumni can also participate as guest speakers, sharing their expertise and real-world experience with students across our academic programs. Learn more.

The Georgian Alumni Mentor Program connects students and alumni with industry leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals who are eager to share their insights and experiences. Through the Georgian Alumni Network, graduates can expand their professional circles, offer mentorship and support fellow Grizzlies as they grow in their careers. Learn more.
