About Shinerama:

Shinerama is Canada’s largest postsecondary fundraiser in support of Cystic Fibrosis Canada. Over 20,000 student volunteers from 36 Canadian universities and colleges come together every year to make a difference in the lives of those battling cystic fibrosis (CF).

Georgian has participated in Shinerama for almost 40 years raising more than $335,000:

  • Barrie: $335,614.09 (since 1982)
  • Orillia: $129,134.98 (since 1984)
  • Owen Sound: $92,662.46 (since 1986)

The funds raised by Georgian students throughout the years have significantly helped to improve the lives and lengthen the lifespans of those living with cystic fibrosis.

In 2021, Georgian students continued to #ShineforCF by fundraising for leading-edge research, high-quality care and advocacy efforts that will advance access to life-saving CF medicines in Canada. They did a 50/50 draw, bottle drive and held an online auction, which raised around $1,000.
