Georgian College invites future students to Spring Open House to explore what’s possible

Barrie, Ont. — Future students are invited to explore what’s possible and see how they’re made for MORE at Georgian College’s Spring Open House, taking place Saturday, April 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. across the Barrie, Midland, Orangeville and Owen Sound campuses.

Open House offers an opportunity to experience Georgian firsthand — whether just beginning to explore options, ready to apply or preparing to confirm an offer. Visitors can tour campuses, explore hands-on learning spaces and connect directly with faculty, student services and current students.

With more than 130 market-driven programs, including degrees, diplomas, certificates and apprenticeships, attendees can learn how Georgian prepares graduates for in-demand careers through applied, work-integrated learning and strong industry connections.

“Open House is one of the best ways for future students to picture themselves at Georgian,” said Kevin Weaver, President and CEO, Georgian College. “It’s an opportunity to explore programs, meet our community and experience the hands-on learning that helps students build confidence and prepare for what’s next. We’re excited to welcome future students and support them as they take that next step.”

As part of the Spring Open House experience, attendees can:

  • Tour labs, facilities and learning spaces and see where hands-on learning comes to life
  • Meet faculty, staff and current students to gain insights into programs and future career pathways
  • Explore a range of student supports, including financial aid, housing, accessibility services and mental health resources
  • Learn about pathways, transfer credits and flexible study options

Visitors can also take advantage of exclusive Spring Open House opportunities, including the chance to apply for free. Those who RSVP and attend will also be entered for a chance to win $5,000 toward tuition.

For those ready to take the next step, applicants may even receive an offer of admission shortly after applying. Students who confirm their offer at Open House will also receive complimentary Georgian merchandise, adding to the experience as they take that next step in their journey.
