PSW Lab Skills

PSWR 1036

Course description

Students focus on the principles and skills needed by a personal support worker (PSW) to assist in caring for clients. Integrating theory and skills, students engage in experiential learning through a simulated practice environment that includes client care and peer feedback. Students demonstrate professional behaviour in the lab setting such as being prepared, punctuality and personal grooming. In-lab learning simulates the reality of clinical practice while providing the student with a risk-free learning environment.
