Course description

Students study the contents of the Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea; students learn how to identify ship types by the navigational lights displayed and to interpret the sound signals used by various vessels; they also learn the navigational responsibilities when ships meet at sea.

Post Secondary level MARE 1014 Practical Seamanship Minimum Grade of 60

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
