Course description

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) presents many technical challenges and social issues. Before being able to design an AI solution, the problem must be clearly defined, and resources identified. Students perform requirements gathering and explore AI ethics, and how AI and ML are leveraged and applied to a wide range of real-world challenges such as advertising, art, business, finance, economics, environmental, government, healthcare, manufacturing, security, and video games.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
