Course description

Students explore common acute and chronic health challenges and determine the role of the PSW, as part of an interprofessional team, in addressing the health challenge. Through a discussion of various diseases and disorders, students learn how PSWs support individuals and their families with acute and chronic conditions including the use of health maintenance, restorative care and rehabilitation.

Post Secondary level BIOL 1014 The Essential Body Minimum Grade of 50
or Post Secondary level PSWR 1043 Human Structure and Function Minimum Grade of 50
