Sport/Rec Facility Operations

Course description

In this course, students acquire the knowledge and skills to contribute to the safe and effective management of recreation facilities. With a primary focus on the fiscal and social benefits of recreation facilities within communities, students explore other related topics such as facility development, design, operations, maintenance, scheduling, and supervision.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
