Course description

In this course, students explore the requirements of Part 9 of the Ontario Building Code for architectural projects, in order to define their structural solutions and to apply the theory supporting this activity. They learn the principles and dependencies of the design process between project inception and completion. Students examine how a residential architectural drawing set should be fully illustrated for design presentation and building permit readiness. Various different project development stages are presented.

Post Secondary level ARCH 1000 Arch. Design - Fundamentals Minimum Grade of 50

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
