Course description

From peaceful idealism to violence and destruction, sports are a complex, ever-present part of societies around the world. Students explore how our understanding of sport is shaped by social and historical contexts. Students also critically assess the relationship of sports to issues of equity, identity, deviance, politics, and commercialization
