Course description

In this course, students learn the safe handling of plumbing tools, materials and equipment. In the "hands on" practical portion, students measure, cut, and make a quality joint for a variety of plumbing pipe materials and fittings, including steel, cast iron, copper and various plastics using appropriate tools in a safe manner. Skills learned from the other related courses in the program assist students in layout and assembling of a simple residential drainage, waste and vent system or part of such system either alone or with a partner.
