Biography

Shannon is a strategic, values-driven executive with more than three decades of leadership experience in higher education and across multiple sectors.

As Vice President, External Relations and Enrolment, she leads Georgian’s strategic enrolment planning and a portfolio spanning the Office of the Registrar; Government Relations and Community Engagement; Marketing, Communications, Recruitment and Events; and Institutional Research and Strategic Insights.

Since joining Georgian in 2023, she has helped advance a more integrated, evidence-based approach to enrolment, reputation and external engagement. Her work connects student and labour-market insights helping Georgian respond to workforce needs, support sustainable growth and deepen our regional impact.

Shannon contributes to provincial and national conversations on strategic enrolment, public affairs and workforce development. Her sector and community service have included advisory work, participation in forums and on various panels, sector awards adjudication, mentorship, executive committees and non-profit board leadership.

Known for her collaborative and consultative approach, she brings people and perspectives together to navigate complexity, strengthen alignment, turn insight into action and action into impact.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts from York University, a post-graduate certificate in Publishing from Ryerson University – now Toronto Metropolitan University – and a Master of Business Administration from Edinburgh Business School at Heriot-Watt University.

Shannon is also a Prosci-certified Change Leader.
