Biography
Barb Crone is a Registered Nurse with a clinical background in emergency and critical care. She is a full-time professor in the Honours Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN) program at Georgian College, Owen Sound campus.
Barb began her academic journey with the completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Trent University. Committed to lifelong learning and leadership within the nursing profession, she further advanced her education by completing a Master of Nursing, with a specialization in Leadership in Professional Nursing Practice, at Western University in 2024. This achievement supported her transition into nursing education and her current role as a professor within the Georgian College nursing program.
Barb’s ongoing clinical practice and frontline experience enhance the relevance and authenticity of her teaching reflecting a strong commitment to supporting students in a realistic and effective transition into the nursing profession. She recognizes that sustaining clinical partnerships yields mutual benefit, fostering valuable networking opportunities and strengthening the integration of academic and practice environments.
