Biography

As a Game Development Professor and Program Coordinator, Wallace Balaniuc brings deep industry insight to the classroom, specializing in commercial game design and development. Leveraging an educational philosophy rooted in hands-on creation, they teach core game design and programming courses with a heavy emphasis on industry-standard tools, primarily the Unreal and Unity game engines.

In addition to leading academic programming, Wallace is an active participant in applied research through the Research and Innovation department. Their research focuses on Serious Game Design—leveraging interactive entertainment technology to solve real-world problems, build simulations, and create impactful training solutions. Whether in the lab or the classroom, they are dedicated to preparing students to build functional, high-performance interactive experiences for the modern digital marketplace.
