Biography 

Dr. Brenda J. Marshall is full-time faculty for the Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (Management and Leadership) degree. She joined Georgian full-time in 2016 and previously had a career in the private sector for more than 20 years. Brenda’s passion for helping leaders grow and develop comes from her time in the talent development field, where she led large scale leadership programs, facilitated intricate team interventions, and coached scores of emerging and established executives.   

Brenda is a published author, frequent conference speaker and noted expert in the field of grief and bereavement in the workplace and sibling loss. She’s spoken at more than 40 conferences and events across Canada and the U.S. since 2010. Brenda holds a PhD in Adult Education from the University of Toronto, an MEd in Teaching and Learning from Brock University, and a B.Sc. in Psychology and Criminology. In addition, she has a Certificate in Solution Focused (Brief) Coaching and is certified in Thanatology (the study of death, dying and bereavement). She is also accredited to interpret a wide variety of assessment tools.
