Biography

As a Researcher with Georgian College’s Centre for Industrial Simulation and Prototyping (CrISP), Amir Baghaki brings extensive expertise in electrical engineering, system design, simulation, automation, and control systems. A professionally licensed engineer, Amir applies his technical knowledge to industry-focused applied research projects that support the development, testing, and implementation of advanced manufacturing and automation solutions.

Amir has significant experience in digital and control systems commissioning, mechatronics, robotics, and simulation-based engineering. His work includes Siemens Mechatronics Systems Certification Program (SMSCP) Levels 1 and 2 and advanced use of ANSYS simulation tools. Through CrISP, Amir collaborates with industry partners to address complex technical challenges, evaluate emerging technologies, and develop practical solutions that strengthen manufacturing processes, system performance, and operational capabilities. Georgian has previously identified him as a researcher on industry applied research projects.
