It is our goal at TLC to create events that will be both enjoyable and memorable for our students as well as safe and inclusive for all.

Events are more frequent during the busy school semesters (fall and winter) but we still host a variety of events during the summer. Most events hosted are 19 and over, but we also hold all-age events as well so that everyone can enjoy the fun of TLC!

Testimonials

The weekend of May 27 to 29, the Ontario Baton Twirling Association held their annual competition at Georgian College Barrie Campus and The Last Class and The First Class catered to their food and beverage needs. This is what Jen Meron had to say regarding the service: “On behalf of the Ontario Baton Twirling Association, I’d like to thank the Georgian staff for facilitating a wonderful weekend. Truly, I don’t know how Georgian has managed to source and employ so many people with such gracious, helpful attitudes.  Everything I asked of ANYONE was done immediately, and with a smile on their face!  So refreshing to find so many young people be so hospitable!”

“Working with Mick and the team at the TLC is always a pleasure. They are prompt, thorough and pleasant to deal with. Besides we are supporting student activities and employment every time we call. It’s a win-win.”

“If you are planning a major event, ensure you call The Last Class Team for worry free catering. I have been working with Mick and his team for years and I must say all our catering needs were met – our client feedback was A+”

“Mick Kingston, what a host! He and his staff were courteous and so happy to take extra steps to please. The young people employed by Georgian are probably the nicest in the province.”

“From start to finish every catering experience with the TLC is superior! Ordering is very easy whether it is by phone or email and custom requests are always accommodated. The food is fresh, well presented and great value for the price. Last minute requests and modifications are not a problem, and clean up will occur according to specific timing if and when needed. It is always a positive and satisfying experience to work with Mick and his team at the TLC!”

“I have ordered catering from TLC for many years now and have NEVER been disappointed.   The professionalism and friendliness of the staff and students to the actual food and presentation itself is second to none.   They will do anything to your specification and if you ask them to ‘do what they think will fit’ it is always beyond expectations!  Any college meetings that we have in my department, we always get the catering from The Last Class, you can depend on them for any catering needs you may have.”

“My department caters dozens of events each year through The First Class.  Our guests are primarily from outside Georgian College, and include hundreds of secondary students, teachers and school board representatives.  Since the catering is part of the important first impression of Georgian to our visitors, it is important to me that the catering reach high standards. I keep returning to Mick and his team at The First Class because they meet and exceed those standards. Not only is the food tasty and on time, catering staff are always eager to respond quickly to unexpected needs like food allergies.  I am very happy to have the First Class team on campus.”

“And then there is Mick Kingston. What a host – what a nice person! The meals, of course, were great but Mick didn’t stop there. He was present for every meal making sure my guests were fed and happy.  He allowed us access to the “beer fridge” to store water for our tours and to hold our table favors. He and his staff were courteous and so happy to take extra steps to please. My guests went home very pleased with everything about the event.  Two things the delegates will remember is that each person attending was treated as a special guest and that the young people employed by Georgian are probably the nicest in the province.  Surrounded by about 400 “grandparents,” they proved themselves to be patient, kind and mannerly.”

“I was really very proud of Georgian College and was happy to show my college off to the delegates of the convention.  The work ethic and the downright niceness of the personnel was matchless.  I was happy to say that I had once been associated with an organization that included so many caring and personable people. If ever I do a large event again, Georgian will be my place of choice. Thanks so much to all and especially Sara, Ron and Mick.”

“Kudos to the TLC Serving Staff – topnotch service.  Thank you for the hospitality!”

“Thank you for your work on the OALT conference.  The planning committee members received many compliments from the delegates on both the food and facilities.  It was a well run conference that was enjoyed by all.”

“Thank you for helping us with the Central Ontario Agriculture Conference last week.  You and the college staff were absolutely wonderful to work with.  Thank you for all of your assistance in making this a very successful conference!”

“A pleasure to work with, extremely accommodating, flexible with last minute requests and always going above and beyond to please our clients!”

“I have always had an exceptional experience when using The Last Class for catering. Mick and his team are always pleasant and accommodating. Last minute requests and changes to our orders are never a problem and is taken care of promptly and professionally. It‘s always a guarantee that you will receive fresh and tasty food. Thank you for the great service!”

“On behalf of the Heads of Student Services provincial committee, I wanted to thank you for the outstanding service and food that was provided for our meeting. Everything was on time, well displayed, perfect temperature and delicious. Comments from the meeting: “This is fabulous”, “I know I shouldn’t, but I’m having seconds”, “This pasta is excellent”, “Great Greek Salad”, and so on. You get the gist. I truly appreciated the attention you paid to details i.e. display and layout of food, cloth napkins, china plates, right mix of drinks, really, really good pasta. Everyone was very happy, and very impressed with the quality and service coming from The Last Class.

Thanks for contributing to a successful day, and please let the staff know that the service was great. They were quick, quiet and respectful of our meeting in process when they dropped off and picked up. Thanks for the flawless experience.”
