Biography

As a Professor in the School of Computer Studies, Rich brings two decades of industry experience to the classroom. He specializes in the programming side of the web and mobile development, primarily focused on server-side scripting and databases. Rich advocates that the best way to learn is by doing. His approach involves a great deal of hands-on learning in the classroom, combined with meaningful practical assignments, often in concert with external not-for-profit clients. Rich is also an active participant in applied research, serving as a faculty mentor to Computer Studies students on a variety of industry web and mobile projects.
