Course description

In this course, students are introduced to the study of various aspects of jewellery repair, such as ring sizing, retipping, chain soldering and replacement of claws, settings and findings.

Post Secondary level JEWL 1001 Jewellery Fabrication 1 Minimum Grade of 50
or Post Secondary level JEWL 1002 Jewellery Studio Minimum Grade of 50
or Post Secondary level JEWL 1010 Metal Finishing Minimum Grade of 50

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
