Course description

Students are introduced to the unique branch of paramedicine that involves collaboration with healthcare partners and community support services to improve access to primary healthcare, reduce non-urgent 911 calls, and provide preventative healthcare and education to patients. Participants gain insight into the historical perspective, current state and future direction of community paramedicine practice. This module is part of the Community Paramedicine Micro-certificate.
