Course description

Event managers must create innovative ways to adapt to industry and global trends to attract and manage customers and add value to the event experience. In this course, students are introduced to the tools required to develop and produce digital and/or hybrid events that promote and integrate virtual solutions. A variety of digital platforms, immersive technologies and best practices are examined to engage audiences and produce digital and/or hybrid events. Students work in a team environment to develop and present the concept for a digital and/or hybrid event, which may then be further developed as a capstone project.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
