Course description

In this course, students are introduced to computer-based information systems used in accounting. Through interactive discussions and business scenarios, students build a fundamental knowledge base of information systems. Using simulations, students develop the ability to use a variety of accounting software applications and spreadsheet software to record, analyze and report financial data.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
