The walking path that connects the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) to Georgian College will remain closed until at least March 12 to allow a crane to lift a cooling tower on to the health centre roof.
The path was originally scheduled to be closed for two days at the end of February, but adverse weather conditions and snow removal challenges are making it difficult to erect the crane safely.
If you walk that path regularly, please use another route. The most direct alternate route (heading to the College) is to proceed north on Gallie Court, then turn left into the main entrance road of RVH; from there, follow the sidewalk past the health centre and pick up the path again by the RVH heli-pad.
RVH thanks everyone in advance for their cooperation and patience during this temporary closure. The pathway will be reopened as soon as it is safe for pedestrians.
