Following consultation with student leaders and the provincial government, details of the promised student strike relief fund have been finalized. Full details are now posted.
This fund will assist students with incremental expenses related to the strike. Full-time domestic and international students who remain enrolled in their program and who have unexpected additional costs because of the strike are eligible to apply for reimbursement up to $500. Apprentices completing their in-school training are also be eligible to apply.
Examples of expenses may include additional child care, additional rent, transportation, etc. Students are required to provide supporting documentation of the additional costs incurred.
Applications for this fund will be accepted until Friday, April 27, 2018.
