Orillia Campus hosts career fair March 12

Employers from industries related to Orillia Campus programs showcase their organizations in this annual career fair and recruit talented students and graduates for current and future job opportunities. This event provides opportunities for Georgian students and alumni to network and research trends and in-demand skills.

WHO: Employers, including organizations offers services in law enforcement, security and justice, social work, addictions and early childhood education. Approximately 40 booths and 500 attendees are expected.

WHEN: Wednesday, March 12, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

WHERE: Georgian College, Orillia Campus gymnasium, 825 Memorial Ave., Orillia


� Social Service Worker students are hosting ReThreads – a “work essentials” clothing sale for students heading into the workforce. The goal is to provide peers with affordable, gently worn career wear appropriate for job interviews and job fairs, including skirts, pants, suits, professional handbags and briefcases, ties, shoes and accessories. Much of the clothing has been donated by Georgian College staff.

� A photo contest is also being held for students who dress in interview attire. The best-dressed student in each career area will win an additional prize.

� Georgian College graduates are also being encouraged to attend. This career fair presents a good opportunity for them to network and explore new possibilities.
