Three students get ready to walk the Coldest Night of the Year

Eric Van Landuyt organized students at the Orillia Campus to participate in the Coldest Night of the Year.

The students walked for 10 km, raising funds for Christian Men’s Lighthouse in Orillia. The organization supports the homeless and helps put a roof over their heads and food on their tables.

More than 40 teams registered with 256 walkers; 725 donors helped raise over $39,000.

Coldest Night of the Year events also took place in other communities throughout Canada. In total, more than 50,000 people were walking at the same time in another location.
