How does living in a 250-year-old castle sound? That’s what 21 Culinary and Hotel Resort students are doing as part of a semester abroad in Strasbourg, France. While completing an internship, taking classes and learning about European culture, they also plan to take advantage of weekend trips to Amsterdam, Paris, Spain and Venice.
This week, they are off to the Chocolate Patisserie to learn about chocolate from one of the best, touring vineyards and visiting the Chteau du Haut-Kœnigsbourg, a medieval castle located at Orschwiller, France – Alsace, in the Vosges mountains.

The semester abroad program was made possible thanks to a partnership between Georgian and Schiller International University, a private school with facilities and campuses across Europe.
Georgian is among the first Ontario colleges to offer a full semester of learning abroad.
