Every Thursday in May and June, Dental Assisting students will offer select dental services to the community for a fee of only $10. Services include:
- Fluoride application
- Dental sealants
- Oral hygiene instruction
The Oral Health Clinic is located on the first floor of the Sadlon Centre for Health, Wellness and Sciences at the Barrie Campus in room M141.
All services provided align with professional standards and current infection control practices. Clinics are supervised by registered dental hygienists, certified dental assistants and dentists.
The Georgian College Sadlon Centre for Health, Wellness and Sciences is home to a number of health care clinics that are open to the public. These clinics serve a dual purpose: they are real-world learning environments for our students, providing them with practical experience on real clients under the guidance of experienced professionals including physicians, nurse practitioners, dental hygienists, dentists, massage therapists and others. They also help meet the local demand for health care services – many community members in the Barrie area and beyond are benefitting from the affordable care provided by students and health care professionals in the community health clinics.
