Testing Services
Testing Services provides admissions testing, placement testing, missed and make-up tests, as well as testing accommodations for students with individual circumstances.
Accommodated testing
About test accommodations
Students who face physical, medical, sensory, mental health or learning barriers to education may be eligible to receive accommodations for their tests. Accommodations may include, but are not limited to, additional time or use of adaptive technology. Students are encouraged to connect with an accessibility advisor to discuss their individual needs.
Schedule an accommodated test
As an accommodated student, you can now book all your tests, quizzes and final exams via our Clockwork portal. Learn more about Clockwork in the student portal, including instructions and video tutorials.
To schedule your accommodated on-campus test via Clockwork, please visit the student portal to get started. Your accommodated test request must be submitted at least five days in advance.
Missed or make-up testing
About missed tests and make-up tests
A missed and/or make-up test occurs when a student is unable to write a test within the scheduled class time. Faculty may grant approval to students wishing to write a missed test based on the circumstances outlined in Georgian College’s academic regulations regarding tests and exams:
“Documented medical/family emergency situations, conflicting religious observance schedules, students in varsity games or Georgian College Student Association executive members in Georgian Board of Governor, or senior management scheduled events, are grounds for special consideration. Requests for adjustments to prescribed examination or test dates must be made before the examination or test dates.”
Schedule a missed or make-up test
Testing Services requires confirmation and approval from faculty before scheduling a missed and/or make-up test.
Once approved by faculty, please visit the student portal to schedule your missed on-campus test. Your missed test request will be processed by the next business day.
Please note, missed and make-up testing is subject to availability within your campus Testing Centre.
