WE’RE HERE FOR YOU!

Georgian College’s First Year Experience office is a drop-in centre that provides warm welcome and transition programming for all new students. We’re here to help you navigate campus, learn more about student services, find a Peer Mentor or get involved with events, programming and activities on campus. Visit our “Ask Us!” tables set up throughout the college or stop by our office in K207, at the top of the stairs above the Bear Essentials bookstore.

We are so excited to welcome all of the new Grizzlies to campus! To get the most out of the day, we ask that you dress comfortably. Some of our activities involve moving and shaking. You should also plan to be on campus for the day in order to get the most out of the experience.

Get stuff done, vendors and activities
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Vendors will be on campus all day with great student giveaways and student promotions.
  • On- and off-campus services will be available to offer information and connect students to important resources.
  • Play some games, get a henna tattoo and meet some new friends.
  • There will be lots of free swag!

Academic sessions
9 to 10:30 a.m. OR 10:30 a.m. to noon

Grizzly spirit rally

  • Meet at noon at the flag poles (rain location, the gym).

We are so excited to welcome all of the new Grizzlies to campus! To get the most out of the day, we ask that you dress comfortably. Some of our activities involve moving and shaking.

This day will allow you to become comfortable with the campus and meet some of your peers.

You will have an opportunity to:

  • Pay for your parking pass.
  • Pick up your ONE card.
  • Pick up your books if you have ordered them.
  • Tour the campus, learn where your classes are, and how to use the student portal, Banner, Blackboard and student email.

We will also provide information about all the services available to you on campus and beyond!
