Looking for a quiet nook at the Barrie Campus? There are plenty to choose from! Here are our seven favourite study spaces.
If you have a favourite study space that we missed, let us know on social media! Share the details with the tag #ExperienceGeorgian .
1. M Building
We love the high ceilings, comfy chairs, and lake views at the Sadlon Centre for Health, Wellness and Sciences. We’re particularly fond of the nook with the big tables and vending machines, at the very end of the second-floor hall.
2. Peter B. Moore Advanced Technology Centre
The brand new Peter B. Moore Advanced Technology Centre is the best kept secret on campus — for now. Take advantage of gorgeous lounges, while they’re still quiet.
3. The library
We think the library is a pretty awesome place. It’s bright, it’s quiet, and it’s full of resources to help students with assignments. Drop by if you’re looking for a table, a comfy sofa, or a computer.
4. C Building, first floor
The big bright lounge on the ground floor of C Building (right by the Office of the Registrar) is an awesome place to get group work done. Booths with tables make it easy to collaborate.
5. H Building, ground floor
The ground floor of the Automotive Business School of Canada is home to a snazzy lounge, with amphitheatre-style seating and several work tables.
6. The First Class Café
We love The First Class. We love the coffee, we love the fireplace, we love the bagels! If you’re planning a small group meeting, this is a good spot. The pool table is a bonus.
7. Campus grounds
There are several picnic tables dotting the grounds at the Barrie Campus. Some of the prettiest spots are outside M Building (toward the cenotaph) and in Alumni Courtyard (sandwiched between J and E buildings).
