Employers from hospitality, tourism, culinary, recreation, esthetics and spa businesses will be in attendance. Some of them will lead workshops and roundtable discussions on topics ranging from resumé-building to beer tasting.

Businesses are seeking employees to work in food and beverage, event planning, office administration, customer service, adventure recreation, leisure and more.

The fair is expected to attract more than 55 employers from across the region and Canada, and as many as 1,000 Georgian students. C2C is the largest generator of co-op placements on campus – more than 350 students landed jobs at last year’s one-day fair.

“The C2C job fair teaches students the importance of comportment, dress and presenting themselves in a professional manner,” says Debra Bobechko, faculty member. “It also allows them to review their resumés with employers and possibly secure a position on the spot.”

Students are encouraged to bring several copies of their resumé, a change of clothes (if they plan to attend one of the messier workshops, like flair bartending), pens and a folder. Hospitality classes are cancelled that day to allow students and faculty to attend.

C2C is hosted by the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Recreation. For more information, or to register, visit
