Nicholas Desjardins of Barrie had lots to smile about last Friday. His name was chosen out of 1,260 valid entries to a Georgian College contest launched by Corporate Marketing and Communications last fall. He won an awesome prize – a brand new iPad 2!
Currently a student at Innisdale Secondary School, Desjardin’s connection with Georgian began earlier this year when he entered the Dual Credit program. The program, run by the Central Lakes Regional Planning Team and led by Georgian, aims to improve the transition between secondary school and the college pathway. Desjardin liked what he saw at Georgian.
When it came time to decide on his postsecondary studies, he considered several institutions but the results of his research led him back to Georgian, where he applied and was accepted to the Business (Co-op) program for the fall.
Desjardin’s new iPad2 will undoubtedly help him in his studies!
