March 12, 2020

Update as of March 12: Georgian has decided to postpone the Mental Health and Well-being strategic plan launch events scheduled between March 16 and 31 at all campuses. The format of these events was going to be high touch and therefore would go against social distancing recommendations in relation to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.  All students and employees are encouraged to review the Mental Health and Well-being strategic plan at

Georgian is proud to officially launch its new comprehensive and holistic plan that will guide our path toward flourishing mental health and well-being for everyone at the college.

The plan has been in development since May 2018 and almost 800 students, employees and other community members from all campuses have provided input! It is truly a reflection of the entire college community.

“We all have a role to play in growing healthy campuses,” says Jennifer Lloyd, Manager, Mental Health Strategy. “By working together, we can ensure all students and employees are aware of our plan and how to access available resources, supports and training opportunities. Our efforts to erase the stigma associated with experiencing a mental illness and seeking help must continue in order for all Georgian community members to flourish.”
