4 ways to get holiday ready at the Barrie Campus

The holidays are only a few weeks away. Georgian’s health and wellness clinics can help you look and feel great before you tackle the onslaught of festive get-togethers. You’ll save money and help people gain valuable work experience. All services are provided by students under the supervision of professionals, so allow extra time for your appointment.

1. Get your hair done

The Georgian Hair Studio, home to Georgian’s Hairstyling diploma and apprenticeship students, offers cuts ($15), colour (starting at $40), and much more. The last few appointments of the season are Dec. 4 and 13, so book soon! Call 705.728.1968, ext. 1802 or email hairstudio@georgiancollege.ca.

2. Go to the spa

The Georgian Spa is a state-of-the art esthetics clinic offering a full range of services – from pedicures, to waxing, to makeup – by student estheticians at reasonable prices. They’re open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays until Dec. 14. In December, you can get a specialized facial for just $40. To book, call 705.722.1538 or email georgian.spa@georgiancollege.ca.

3. Get a massage

For $30 (or $20 if you’re a student) you can get a one-hour assessment and treatment at the Student Massage Therapy Clinic. 4. Go for acupuncture

Acupuncture can help you feel your best. The Acupuncture Clinic is open Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Your initial consult (during which treatment may or may not be provided) is free, with subsequent one-hour appointments costing $30 ($20 for students). Book now by calling 705.722.5156 because appointments are filling up quickly between now and Dec. 14.
