RISE today for tomorrow

Entering its 5th year, RISE 2021 is a celebration of the research, innovation, scholarship and entrepreneurship taking place at Georgian College.

The week-long schedule of virtual events includes engaging guest speakers from around the world, live sessions that will make you think critically, and research showcases that will demonstrate the innovation happening across the college.

Join us to:

  • see how students are changing the world
  • connect with inspiring guest speakers
  • explore the 3D click and shop marketplace
  • participate in engaging workshops
  • view the Innov8 Awards submissions presented by students or student teams at RISE 2021
  • be part of creativity and collaboration without borders and much more

The first annual Innov8 Awards will recognize excellence in research, innovation and change-making ideas presented by students or student teams at RISE 2021.

The competition will be judged using a rubric provided by the Innov8 Awards Panel. More details will be made available to all accepted applicants. There will be $150 prizes for the winners!

You’ll also have the opportunity to check out the Manufacturing Innovation Summit, sponsored by the Business Development Bank of Canada. Join forward-thinking manufacturing leaders to share ideas and take away practical insights to harness the power of innovation.

Finally, we are thrilled to host this term’s Big Data Insights Conference as part of RISE 2021. The student-led event showcases coursework and research being done in the Big Data Analytics program. Join in on sessions geared towards their theme, “Ransomware: With Big Data Come Big Responsibilities”.

We invite you to register to attend or showcase your project. Please register for one option only.

See you at RISE 2021!
