Tuition and application fees
The application fee to apply to postsecondary programs and English for Academic Purposes (EAP) is $100.
Tuition and fees (per year) may include ancillary fees, health insurance, student ID card, activity fees, education technology and co-op fees.
- Certificate: approximately $17,170 to $18,170
- Diploma: approximately $16,990 to $29,200
- Graduate certificate: approximately $17,900 to $19,280
- Degree: approximately $20,360 to $20,450
Some programs also have specific fees. For example, Culinary students must wear uniforms and safety shoes.
Funding your education and expenses
There are many ways you can earn money to help pay your tuition fees and cover expenses during your studies.
Awards, scholarships and bursaries
Once you are a Georgian student, you will have access to apply to awards and scholarships during each year of study. We have more than 750 awards available each year with a combined value of over $750,000.
Earn money while in school
Most international students also find part-time employment while studying. There are many on-campus jobs as well as a variety of jobs in the community.
You could also earn an income during your co-op term (approximately $6,000 to $8,000).

- Room for rent (estimated cost): $500 to $700
According to the government of Canada, the average living costs in Canada for a college student is $12,000 per year.
Here are rough estimate of possible pricing for your living expenses and academic needs.
- Housing: $500 to 800 (monthly estimate)
- Food and groceries: $200 to 300 (monthly estimate)
- Transportation: $30 to $70 (monthly estimate)
- Mobile services: $50 to $100 (monthly estimate)
- Entertainment and fun: $100 to 200 (monthly estimate)
- Books, postsecondary programs: $50 to $200 per textbook
*Each course may require a textbook
- Books, English for Academic Purposes: $250 to $350 per seven-week semester

How to pay your fees
Georgian accepts credit card payments, bank payments and payments sent using Flywire.
Please include your name and student number on all correspondence. All payments should be payable to “Georgian College TUITION“.
Georgian College has partnered with Flywire to make international tuition payments easier for international students. With Flywire, you are offered excellent foreign exchange rates, allowing you to pay in your home currency (in most cases) and save a significant amount of money, as compared to traditional banks. In addition, the posting of the payment into your Georgian College account will be faster, and you will be notified via email when it is received.
This includes telephone and online banking or in person at your branch. The payee is “Georgian College TUITION” and your account number is your nine-digit student number. Payments made at the bank on the day of the deadline will be considered to be on time.
Note, there are several options and only the “Georgian College TUITION” option will deposit funds to pay your fees. The selection of “Georgian College ONEcard” is strictly for purchasing goods and services at any of the ONEcard partnered locations.
Your minimum non-refundable deposit of $2,500 may be paid by credit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express). You can make your tuition deposit payment on your Banner account under the fee payment section. For the balance of your fees, you can pay through your financial institution. Georgian is unable to accept full fee payments by credit card or personal/company cheque.

Refunds for international students
Georgian notifies Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) of all withdrawals. International students are entitled to a partial refund of fees paid if the withdrawal is received within the first 10 working days of the term. No refunds will be issued after 10 working days of the term. For all new students being represented by an agent, the refund is returned through the agent whenever possible. Fees paid will be refunded in full for subsequent terms. For study permit refusals, a full refund will be issued if proof of study permit refusal is submitted within the first 10 working days of the term. All refunds are calculated using the equation to the right.
Fees paid – (international tuition fee ÷ domestic tuition fee) x $500
In addition, non-refundable fee items may be deducted. For example:
$7,287.11 – ($5,500 ÷ $1,342.88) x $500 = $5,239.27

You must submit a Request for College Withdrawal form to officially withdraw from Georgian. Before you decide to withdraw from your full-time program, please discuss your options with your program co-ordinator or student success advisor.
