Georgian Bursary Georgian Bursary Form for students to fill out to apply for a Georgian bursary Georgian College has established a bursary fund to aid eligible students who have applied for OSAP and require additional assistance in funding their education expenses. The bursary is valued at a minimum of $500, though the value can vary from term to term as funds permit. The bursary will be applied as a payment toward any outstanding balance with the college, or as a deposit toward the following semester's tuition (if applicable). Students in a one-term program (September to December) are eligible to receive a bursary in the fall term. Students in a two or three-term program are eligible to receive a bursary in the winter or summer term. Apply once per academic year. Eligibility •You must have completed an OSAP application for the current academic year. •You must be enrolled full-time in the current academic year and be in good academic standing. •You must demonstrate a financial need on the budget provided (financial need means your expenses exceed your income). •Eligible students may apply for one Georgian bursary in an academic year. As a condition of this funding, your college or university is required to make reports to the Ministry of your contact information, the amount of the Bursary you receive and the date it was awarded, your study period and information related to your eligibility for the Bursary. This personal information will be used by the Ministry to administer and finance the Bursary. It will also be used to establish the minimum amount of student aid your college or university is required to provide under the Student Access Guarantee (the Guarantee) and to administer and finance the Guarantee. If you apply for OSAP, this personal information will be used to update your OSAP application or award, including your declared income. Administration includes: public reporting on the administration and financing of the Bursary and the Guarantee; monitoring and auditing your college or university or its authorized agents to ensure that they are administering the Bursary appropriately; conducting risk management, error management, audit and quality assessment activities; and conducting policy analysis, evaluation and research related to all aspects of student assistance.
