Course description

This course surveys four main fields of political studies: theory, comparative politics, international relations, and Canadian studies, with the purpose of exploring the major categories and concepts of the discipline. As a humanities option, students have the opportunity to link their learning from their core courses to relevant political issues. Students learn about the political processes of a number of countries, and they will understand how the use of power is (and is not) justified in diverse societies around the world.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
