Test Centres provide services to students who require accommodations or need to write a missed / make-up test. Priority will be given to students requiring test accommodations.
Georgian’s Test Centres are located at the following campuses:
- Barrie – Room B121
- Midland – Library
- Orillia – Room A200
- Owen Sound -Room 607
Muskoka, Collingwood and Orangeville campuses do not have formal Testing Centres, however, these campuses will also provide testing services.
To be eligible for test accommodations students must meet with a Disability Specialist at the start of each semester to obtain Letters of Accommodation (LOA). The LOA must then be presented to each faculty prior to students requesting a test with accommodations to be written in a Test Centre. Students requiring accommodations will write at the same time as the rest of the class.
Missed tests are written in the Test Centre within the posted hours (Test Centre Hours) and requests are to be submitted online by students by completing the Test Request Form, and only after the student has met and discussed a mutually agreeable date and time with their faculty. Seats are assigned on a first come, first served basis. If the date and time requested is not available the student must go back to the faculty and agree upon an appropriate alternate date and time, after which the student must resubmit a test request.
If you require assistance or instructions related to Testing Services, please read through the Faculty FAQ’s.
