Students learn to create healthy dishes on a budget

The First Generation and First Year Experience teams at the Barrie Campus partnered with Students’ Administrative Council (SAC) to host a Community Kitchen on March 12. Using kitchen space in the Hospitality and Tourism area, Chef Julien Ross taught 18 students basic cooking techniques and how to create healthy dishes on a student budget.

The students paid $5 each to participate and ended up taking home six different meals.
