Georgian’s three disposal streams 1) white=waste 2) blue=glass, plastics, cans 3) grey=mixed paper

Georgian College prides itself on being a leader in sustainability. Named one of Canada’s Greenest Employers four years running, Georgian has incorporated environmental responsibility into its programs, policies and buildings.

But we can do even more for our planet by improving waste management at all of our campuses. One of the biggest culprits is paper coffee cups. There are many types of disposable cups on campus and they are currently not recyclable.

To help Georgian recycle more, put your used cups in the white waste bins and recycle your plastic lids in the blue glass, plastics, cans bins. Or better yet, bring a reusable mug to campus – most food providers will give you a discount for doing it!
