Culinary student John Cooper is a semi-finalist in the Soup’d Up competition, airing live each week on Rogers TV.

John’s delicious carrot soup with curry and coconut milk will be featured at Fresh-A-Fare restaurants in Barrie from Feb. 2 to Feb. 7.

Follow the competition each Wednesday at 11 a.m., with re-runs at 4 and 11 p.m. until March 18.

The first place winner will receive a $1,000 credit to apply to a second-year Georgian hospitality, tourism or recreation program. Students are also competing for cash awards, a Canada Cutlery baking kit, a Cuisinox cooking kit, and an individual appearance on Rogers TV Showtime.
