RVH evacuation exercise: Barrie Campus, Oct. 7
October 01, 2014

During Georgian’s recent fire evacuation and lockdown drills, we all learned the importance of preparing for the unexpected. Our friends at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) are also working on emergency preparedness. They have planned for an evacuation exercise on Tuesday, Oct. 7 from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

As part of the exercise, 40 to 60 mock patients will be moved from the hospital to the Barrie Campus Athletic Centre. The move will involve many trips by bus, and possibly other hospital vehicles.

Mock patients will be brought in through Georgian Drive to the Alumni Courtyard and in the doors leading to The Last Class and Students’ Administrative Council (SAC) office. Please download a map to view the planned route: RVH mock evacuation exercise – enter/exit route (PDF)

If possible, you’re encouraged to use an alternative entrance during this time.
