December 04, 2014

Lynsey Vanden Pol, a first-semester student in Georgian’s Practical Nursing program, recently won $1,500 toward her tuition. Lynsey completed the online Georgian Profile Survey (GPS) during the fall semester and was randomly chosen as the lucky recipient of the grand prize.

Lynsey receives her prize from Dr. Catherine Drea, Vice President, Student Engagement and University Partnerships.

Another 10 students received $50 Georgian Stores gift cards.

The GPS documents the characteristics and experiences of first-semester students and promotes the awareness and use of support services and activities in a way that’s customized to each student’s responses. It also helps Georgian identify students who may be at risk of not persevering with their studies.
