Nursing students help raise awareness in Transplant Trot

A group of students and a young girl stand in front of a Georgian banner.For the second year, Practical Nursing students from the Owen Sound Campus volunteered at the Grey-Bruce Transplant Trot health station at Kelso Beach Park. The students handed out water, checked participants’ blood pressure and provided first aid to anyone needing medical care.

The Transplant Trot is a 5 km walk/run organized to grow organ and tissue donation awareness and celebrate life after transplant for organ and tissue recipients. Funds raised support the Canadian Transplant Association.
