Learning Strategists receive international accolade

Georgian Learning Strategists Sarah Hunter (Orillia Campus) and Cindy Korpatnicki (Barrie Campus), presented a workshop on integrating learning strategies into curriculum at the 2014 Canada International Conference on Education (CICE) held at Cape Breton University, NS. They were recognized with a “Best Workshop” award and, as a result, have been invited to submit a paper to the Literacy Information and Computer Education Journal.

The conference was attended by educators from 92 countries, providing an opportunity for academics and professionals with cross-disciplinary interests to bridge the knowledge gap, promote research and discuss the evolution of teaching. More than 2,100 proposals were submitted to the conference, of which 511 papers, 15 posters and seven workshops were accepted.
