Georgian students get their shine on
September 09, 2014

Students from the Orillia and Owen Sound campuses are raising funds for cystic fibrosis research as part of Shinerama on Wednesday, Sept. 10. They’ll be shining “anything that can be shined” – cars, shoes, keys, and more in return for donations from the public.

In Orillia, students will start their morning with a pancake breakfast before shining a fire truck and then heading out to their various “shine” locations. You can get your items shined between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. at Walmart, Foodland, Orillia Mazda, Kelsey’s, Montana’s, Giant Tiger, Complete Rentals, The Water Market and Country Produce.

In Owen Sound, students will attend an opening rally before making their way to Boston Pizza and Shoppers Drug Mart downtown. Visit them and make a donation between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
